As 350.org’s second global action day – 10/10/10 – approaches, TCW looks back on the campaign activities of last year. In the run up to COP15 in December last year, TCW supported 350.org’s global campaign to empower the negotiators to strike a fair and ambitious deal at the Climate talks in Copengagen. We partnered with many music venues and public spaces to coordinate the staging of around 80 musical events and a number of other awareness-raising activities in Bristol.TCW supporter Alexis Hobson filmed a selection of the musical performances and other events, as well as the culmination of the campaign on the 24th October – a busy day of music, talks and awareness-raising. Alexis generously donated her time to create a short video documenting what took place.A big thank you to everyone who contributed to making the campaigns as memorable as they were, even if COP15 wasn’t as decisive as we all hoped for. An especially big thank you to Alexis for the long hours and creativity she put into this great piece of work. This year, on the 10th of October, TCW is taking part in the commissioning of a new 28-panel 5kW solar array on a Royal British Legion community building in nearby Long Ashton.
