Introducing the TCW team in India
The Converging World would like to introduce our team in India to our supporters in the UK and around the world. Saranya is the manager of our Mumbai office and talks about her work with TCW:
Why do you enjoy working with The Converging World?
I have always wanted to contribute something to mankind and The Converging World fits my desire. The goal of The Converging World is different to other charities – instead of the normal way of donating money, it provides financial support and educates the community to reduce their carbon footprint.
What does your job involve?
I look after the administration of the Mumbai office and provide support for renewable energy projects, preparing Detailed Project Reports and co-ordinating between the UK, Mumbai and Chennai offices.Could you describe the work that TCWRE is doing in India?TCWRE India has set up 3 MW wind farm project in Tamil Nadu and is in the process of setting up another 1.5 MW. It plans to set up 25 MW each per year for 5 years in various States in India. Through these projects, we are helping to reduce India’s carbon footprint and benefiting the world. TCW Group will use profit generated from these projects to help poor groups and communities in India and the UK.
Anything else you’d like to tell our supporters?
I enjoy listening to music and community service, providing free education to needy children.I have also signed a pledge with VIRAAG eye donation campaign to donate my eyes after death so they can be transplanted to patients, which will help them to lead their lives happily.
Thank you Saranya! More introductions from our partners in India coming soon.
