Another Hugely Inspiring Day from Schumacher Society and CAT”Yes We Can” was the message from The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT). This week saw the very sad death of Dr Hermann Scheer, in many ways the father figure of German renewable energy, and a hugely influential figure worldwide. He was a fighter who seemed to relish his battles, and an inspirational, irreplaceable character. Hermann died unexpectedly on Thursday the 14th of October, aged just 66 years old. Climate Change Adaptation Study Finds Existing Research InadequateAs part of our work in Tamil Nadu, India, we are interested in looking at the issue of climate change adaptation in the region. Lizzie Wain, a recent science graduate from Bristol, became involved with The Converging World earlier this year through a common interest in this subject.
