New Indian management team to push for 100MW
TCW appoints Indian management team to grow its renewable energy business and former Secretary of the Ministry for New and Renewable Energy in India joins the board. Mr Rangarajan Balajee has been appointed CEO of The Converging World’s Indian renewable energy company and has more than 15 years experience in the development of renewable energy. He was formerly the Chief operating officer of AuroMira Energy prior to which he was the Senior Vice President of a renewable energy Independent Power Producer (IPP) for more than 13 years. He also brings extensive policy experience and has served as a member on a number of advisory panels including the Tariff Advisory Committee of the Indian Wind Power Producers Association.He said: “I am proud to be a part of this great and noble cause.” Mr Laxsmanan Natarajan has been appointed Head of Commercial Operations and Finance, Mr Laxsmanan was a Banker for more than 22 years before joining Indowind Energy Ltd (IPP) as Senior Vice President. His experience includes negotiating with wind turbine manufacturers, fundraising both in India and offshore and appraisals for hundreds of MW’s of renewable energy deployment in India. “It’s a golden day in my professional life because I am rededicating myself to reduce carbon emissions through the renewable energy projects of The Converging World and to help deliver such a noble cause though the charity for the benefit of mankind.”Wendy Stephenson (CEO of The Converging World) says ‘This development is of huge significance for the charity going forward.
